Mustang Freightways and the Royals: A Winning Partnership

Every great team needs a supportive partner, and for the talented South Bow River Softball U17/U19 team, the Royals, that partner is Mustang Freightways. As a leader in Western Canada’s freight industry, we know what it takes to build a successful team: skill, determination, and a supportive community. That’s why we’re proud to sponsor the Royals, a team that embodies these values on and off the field.

Striking Silver in Stettler

The Royals have shown exceptional skill and determination, recently bringing home a silver medal against a U23 team in Stettler. This feat was made possible in part by Mustang Freightways’ sponsorship, which covered the fees for batting cage sessions and the tournament entry. The Royals’ silver victory is a testament to their hard work and the power of community support.

The Road to Calgary and Beyond

Fresh off their silver win, the Royals set their sights on the upcoming U19 tournament in Calgary. With their spirits high and their skills sharpened, they faced off against U19 Division 1 teams and emerged with a bronze medal. But their journey didn’t stop there. The team went on to become city champions, a victory that propelled them to the Provincials in Irma, Alberta.

A Season of Triumphs and Trials

The Royals’ journey to the Provincials was met with an unexpected challenge: the tournament was cancelled due to smoke. Despite this setback, the team remains undeterred. Their journey this season, from winning silver in Stettler to becoming city champions, is a testament to their resilience and determination.

Cheering for the Future

Mustang Freightways is proud to support the Royals on their journey. Their determination, skill, and spirit reflect our values, and we’re excited to see what the future holds for this exceptional team. As we continue to cheer them on from the sidelines, we’re reminded of the power of community and the importance of supporting young talent. Here’s to the Royals, and here’s to the many victories to come.
