Hollie Buus, a vital part of our Customer Service team in Calgary, recently celebrated a significant milestone \u2013 her 15th work anniversary. From catering to customer queries to exploring the wilderness of Alaska and ziplining in Mexico, Hollie\u2019s journey with us has been as diverse and colourful as the experiences she\u2019s collected along the way.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mastering the Art of Customer Service<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Hollie\u2019s primary responsibility at Mustang is customer service, a role she fills with commitment and passion. She also takes care of daily reporting for specific customers and schedules deliveries and pickups. In essence, Hollie\u2019s role is to ensure that every customer feels taken care of \u2013 and does it with warmth and efficiency.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reflecting on her role, Hollie shares, \u201cMy job at Mustang is all about juggling various duties and staying on top of things. It’s a bit of everything from managing customer reports to arranging pickups. But amidst it all, the joy comes from ensuring our customers are well taken care of. There\u2019s something so rewarding about seeing them satisfied at the end of the day.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

A Tale of Return\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Hollie\u2019s journey with Mustang Freightways began in 1999. However, in 2006, she ventured away for a few years. But as fate would have it, her path led her back to the Mustang team. The strong connection she\u2019d formed with Mustang and its people didn\u2019t wane, as she was welcomed back with open arms.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLeaving in 2006 was necessary at the time, but returning to Mustang was like coming back home,\u201d Hollie reminisces. \u201cHere, every day brims with life. We\u2019re constantly on our toes, taking care of customers, and juggling a multitude of tasks. Sure, it can get a bit chaotic at times, but it\u2019s the fact that every day is not the same that makes the industry we\u2019re in so interesting,\u201d she adds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Toddler Tales\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

While her dedication to work is unwavering, Hollie also knows how to enjoy her downtime. From co-raising her lively great-granddaughter to squeezing in time for a gripping novel or a trip to the casino, Hollie is a pro at striking the perfect work-life balance.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOh, don\u2019t get me started on my great-granddaughter,\u201d she chuckles, her eyes sparkling. \u201cBetween the diaper changes and keeping up with her, I\u2019m always on my toes; however, I still manage to slip in a visit to the casino, now and then,\u201d she adds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chronicles of a Globetrotter\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Travel is another passion of Hollie\u2019s. She\u2019s toured almost every U.S. state, thanks to her husband\u2019s job as a long-haul trucker. Her travels have taken her from Europe to Australia, and from Fiji to Columbia, Panama, and Jamaica. She even tried zip-lining in Mexico a few years ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTraveling opens your eyes. Every new place I visit, every culture I get to experience, it just broadens my world,\u201d Hollie shares, with a gleam in her eye. \u201cAnd zip-lining in Mexico? Oh, it was a heart-racing, thrilling ride that I won\u2019t forget! I\u2019m just so lucky to have seen and experienced so much in my life,\u201d she concludes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Celebrating 15 Years and Looking Ahead<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Hollie Buus is more than a dedicated employee; she\u2019s a treasured member of the Mustang team. As we celebrate her 15-year journey with us, we look forward to many more years filled with her tenacious spirit, and dedication to our customers. Thank you, Hollie, for being a part of our story.
