Randy Karakonti – 15 Years of Service
Mustang Freightways Ltd. is proud to celebrate the recent 15th work anniversary of Randy Karakonti.
Shunting Since 2006
Since June 2006, Randy has worked as our Shunter for afternoon shifts – a position he’s held since he started with Mustang. He works out of our Edmonton/Acheson Service Center which is one of two company-owned freight service centers in Alberta.
What’s a Shunter?
As our Shunter, Randy is responsible for operating the shunt truck to shunt trailers in and out of various bay doors. He helps drivers hook up trailer/tractor sets and keeps our fleet yard organized and clean for safe and smooth operation.
Yerrr Out!
When he’s not working, Randy can often be found on the baseball diamonds as an umpire. “I’ve always been passionate about umping and have been an umpire for many years,” says Randy. “It’s an activity that I really enjoy.”
Part of the Team
Mustang Freightways sincerely acknowledges Randy and the many exceptional employees like him for their commitment to excellence in performing their daily duties. Randy’s teamwork is an integral part of our entire team’s success, and for that, we thank him for allowing us to celebrate this special milestone with us.
Thanks, Randy!
