Mustang Freightways Reflects on Another Successful Year

It’s been another eventful year for Mustang Freightways! We’ve accomplished a lot this year and are excited to share some of our biggest highlights with you.

Maintaining Safety & Efficiency

One of the biggest things we focus on each year is how to improve the work environment for our employees. We aim to provide a space where our team can work efficiently and safely. This year again, we were awarded the Partnerships in Injury Reduction certification, which we first acquired in 2008 and have maintained ever since; it is an integral part of our health and safety management system.

Our new E-Signature was also introduced this year. It minimizes paper waste and makes customers’ shipping records more manageable and quicker to access for all their deliveries.

Giving Back to Our Communities

Mustang Freightways also made it a point to give back to our communities this year, as we’ve always done in previous years. In 2022, we partnered with organizations like the Calgary Food Bank, the Veterans Association Food Bank, and the Parkland Food Bank Society to raise and donate essential items like non-perishable food items to those in need. In December, We joined forces with Samaritan’s Purse for Operation Christmas Child, bringing smiles to the faces of thousands of children worldwide.

To cap off the year, our Calgary Terminal challenged our Edmonton Terminal to a friendly food drive competition in Nov/Dec. Thanks to the support of our employees and their families, we raised over 350 lbs of food that was donated to local charities.

Supporting Local Youth Sports

In addition to our community partnerships, we also supported local youth sports this year. We sponsored teams in softball (SBR Aftershock) and hockey (HADP Blazers), providing the gear and equipment they needed to develop and succeed in their respective sports leagues. We’re proud to say that both these teams went on to become champions, winning medals in multiple tournaments. Most importantly, the kids had fun!
