Mustang Freightways Holds Food Drive Challenge

Mustang Freightways recently held a food drive challenge between its Calgary and Edmonton terminals. The friendly competition, which took place throughout November 2022, aimed to raise donations for local food banks. Ultimately, the Calgary terminal raised a total of 205 lbs of food donated to the Veterans Association Food Bank. Our Edmonton terminal collected 160 lbs of food donated to the Parkland Food Bank Society.

Calgary vs. Edmonton

Our Calgary terminal initiated the food drive challenge with our Edmonton terminal to see who could collect the most food donations. The challenge sparked a strong response, with both terminals working hard to collect as many donations as possible.

“It was a close competition, but in the end, the Calgary terminals came out on top,” said Kelly Baker, Customer Service Rep., Edmonton. “While we may have lost the challenge, the most important thing is that we were able to raise a significant amount of food for the less privileged in our communities. We’re grateful to everyone who donated and helped make this possible,” she continued.

A Resounding Success

“We’re thrilled with the success of the food drive challenge, and both terminals should be commended for their efforts in supporting this important cause,” says Jody Ruttle, Customer Service Specialist, Calgary terminal. “It’s heartening to see Mustang Freightways employees and their families unite to support such an important cause. The food raised will help those in our community who are struggling to put food on the table,” she adds.

Mustang Freightways is extremely proud of our Calgary and Edmonton terminals. We are proud of their efforts in making this food drive challenge a resounding success and the positive impact they will have on those in need.
