Introducing Melody Mehlen

Mustang Freightways Ltd. is excited to introduce Melody Mehlen as our new Business Development Manager! As the latest member of our team, Melody will be serving Mustang customers in the North Edmonton territory: North of the N. Saskatchewan River, Spruce Grove, St. Albert and Acheson.

Melody has over 24 years of experience working in the transportation industry – with 14 of those years in transportation sales. She also has the added benefit of working at all levels of shipping and transportation “from cargo to courier,” which allows her to confidently address supply chain issues solutions for her customers and help facilitate their growth and business evolution.

With over 24 years in the transportation industry, Melody’s goal has remained the same. She is committed to forming long-term business relationships with customers, providing top-class transportation services, and facilitating the profitability and satisfaction of customers. “I love working towards the growth and success of all my customers. I love to see all my customers succeed,” said Melody when asked about what drives her.

True Albertan, Born & Raised

Melody is a proud Albertan. She was born and raised in Alberta and had lived in Ontario for about 10 years, but she is more excited than ever to be back home. “After a successful decade in Ontario, I am so happy to be back home in beautiful Alberta,” she states. “The natural beauty of the province and the friendly people are second to none.” We can’t blame her… we may be biased, but we love it here too!

“Ciao!” Says the Winemaker

In her spare time, Melody loves travelling and gardening as a way to wind down and relax. One of her favourite destinations is Italy, a country known for its tourism, art cities and unique scenery – but clearly not the driving. “One thing you won’t find me doing in Italy is driving! I find the driving there a bit nerve-wracking, so I just kick back and relax while someone else takes the wheel and I check out all the beautiful scenery.”

The scenery of Italy is not the only thing that left a mark on Melody; it’s also well-known for producing top-level wines, and that seems to have clearly rubbed off on her. “It’s true. I love making wine and beer from scratch. I enjoy the process and the technique involved to try and come up with a delicious end result.” Hey Melody, if you’re ever in need of some wannabe-wine-critics, you know where to find us!
