5 Years of Service, Megan Goett

Five years ago, Megan Goett joined the team at Mustang Freightways as a Customer Service Rep. Today, she is an Inside Sales/Business Development Rep in the Calgary area and has been an integral part of the company’s growth and success.

“Five years feel really good,” Megan says. “This is my second time with Mustang; I worked here for six years before I left, and then I came back! It feels like home… always has been. I’m honoured that I was welcomed back and that I’ve been able to grow and flourish here,” she says fondly.

When Dreams Become Reality

As an Inside Sales Rep, Megan is often out of the office, working to ensure that our company and its customers have a positive experience. She loves what she does and considers it her dream job. “I’ve worked my way up through Mustang Freightways to reach this position,” she says. “I’m grateful to my teammates and amazing customers for helping me succeed in my career. I have an amazing team that pushes and encourages me to keep growing, and I love that aspect of Mustang,” she adds.

Volunteering and Family

In addition to her work at Mustang Freightways, Megan is also a dedicated volunteer. She spends time on behalf of the Tom Baker Cancer Center, helping with community support and organizing sock and toque drives to support women undergoing cancer treatment.

“I also love spending time with my family; it’s one of my favourite things to do,” Megan says. “We’ve built a backyard oasis with a fireplace where we spend a lot of time together. I also love being outdoors; it’s my happy place. Even just a 15-minute walk in nature can make my day!” she states.

Drop the Fear, Take Your Chances

When asked what advice she would give her younger self, Megan says, “Don’t be scared. Fear held me back from achieving some of my goals sooner, but my teammates helped push me along the way, and they had faith in my abilities. Just take a chance in life and go for it. I had to take a step back and seize new opportunities as they came up.”
