Mustang 2021 Year in Review

2021: Looking Back

Some conspiracy theorists believe that 2021 was 2020 in disguise, and we were transported into a new dimension. We don’t know about all that, but we do know 2021 was another year for the books. The new decade has brought us many stories we will be telling our children one day. For Mustang employees, that includes a pandemic, some mean weather, and more. Let’s check it out.

25 Years

Since 1996 Mustang Freightways has grown into a reputable regional carrier leading the industry with legendary service.  While we had some plans in the works to celebrate our 25th Anniversary with you, sadly, the pandemic snuffed those out. Despite the lack of customer celebrations, please know that we are forever grateful to our customers for getting us to 25 years! Within our organization, we celebrated some inspiring employee work milestones and well-deserved job promotions to some wonderful individuals. View their unique achievements by visiting our News & Updates section.

Special 25th anniversary watches were presented in 2021 to Bruce Crofton and Dustin McLean who've been with Mustang Freightways since its inception.

Trucking in the Times of COVID

Pandemic woes are still afoot in these parts. We continue to uphold all mandated hygiene and safety guidelines to serve our employees and clients. COVID is no joke, so we don’t play around when it comes to legal dictations and recommendations about protecting ourselves from this pandemic. The health and safety of our employees are our top priority. With the new Omricon variant deciding to ruin our holidays, we ensure that our drivers and office staff use sanitizers and masks and promote vaccinations. We hope everyone stays safe this new year.

There’s Still Hope…

One of the more recent charitable donations we gave to this year was to Hope Mission, a non-profit social care agency in Edmonton. After a fire in the Hope Mission warehouse, our team knew it was time to help. The employees at Mustang  teamed up with Levitt Safety to donate winter clothing and gear to help the women, men, and children that use Hope Mission as a necessary resource. Collectively, we donated 475 supplies! Check out the story here.

When it Rains, it POURS.

The devastating fires and floods in BC saw all freight companies finding new ways to work within the confines of the government-sanctioned highway closures to figure out the most efficient methods for delivering their customers’ freight. This kind of natural disaster event was unprecedented, especially at this time of the year. However, we are managing, and take this opportunity to thank our loyal customers for being supportive throughout these times. Thanks for also understanding that the safety of our truck drivers is integral to the successful delivery of your freight and to our company’s daily operations. Hopefully, 2022 will only give us sunshine and rainbows (please)!
